Barry County Southern Baptist Association or BCSBA –

The BCSBA is an important part of the churches of Barry County linking us together to do the mission trips, helping churches get in contact with help from the State Convention for building ideas, and financial aid for building.

BCSBA has an annual Evangelism Conference in February each year with Evangelists from Missouri, Oklahoma, Louisana, and sometimes Texas.  People who attend this conference are blessed by the Bible preaching, and singing.

We also have a monthly Worker’s Conference where the churches of the Association gather and have a fellowship meal together, have a Business meeting, and a program that follows.  There is no monthly Worker’s Conference in the Month of December or February.  None in December due to it being such a busy month for everyone, and None in February due to the Evangelism Conference.

The following is a month by month update of events happening in our Barry County Baptist Association:

May 2012 -

17th -  The monthly Worker’s Conference this month is at Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Cassville, Mo.  There will be a carry-in meal at 6:30 p.m.  followed by Dr. John Yeats speaking at 7:15.  Dr. Yeats is the Executive Director of the State of Missouri Baptist Convention of churches.

29th -  Youth Camp at Baptist Hill through June 1.  Adult Youth Camp forms need to be in the Association Office as soon as possible, so Background Checks can be done.

April 2012 -

The Association Worker’s conference for April will be at the Ridgley Baptist Church.  The carry-in meal will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a Business session beginning at 7:15 p.m. with program following.

February 2012 -

There will be no Worker’s Conference this month; the Association will be sponsoring their annual Southwest Missouri Bible and Evangelism Conference February 18 – 21 with music and singing by the music Evangelists on the evening of the 18th, the evangelists in the churches of the Association on the 19th; and the conference beginning on the morning of the 20th and 21st; with evening sessions as well.

Come and join us for great singing, preaching, and praising the Lord.

January 2012 -

HAPPY NEW YEAR Every one.

Let’s remember that Sanctity of Human Life Sunday is January 15.  Every human life is special in God’s eyes.

January 19 Worker’s Conference will be at Emmanuel Baptist in Cassville.  The carry-in meal will begin at 6:30 p.m. with Business session beginning at 7:15 p.m.  The program will be a message by our Moderator Paul Wahlert, pastor of Wheaton Baptist Church

Let’s also remember that our Association’s annual Evangelism Conference will be next month, no Worker’s Conference, February 18 with the songfest at Corinth Baptist, Evangelists in the churches on the 19; and the conference 20 – 21.  All taking place at Corinth Baptist.

November 2011 -

November 17 will be the day for our Associational Worker’s Conference this month.  It will be at Prairie Hill Baptist West of Washburn, MO.  It will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a carry-in dinner.

October 2011 -

Associational Worker’s Conference will be at FBC Seligman on October 20.  Carry-in dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m.  Business session begins a 7:15 p.m. and program will follow – Stewardship.

September 2011 -

BCSBA Annual meeting will be at FBC Purdy 12 – 13;  There will be a Sunday School Conference at FBC Exeter on the 24th.

August 2011 -

The Worker’s Conference for this month will be held at Solid Rock Baptist.  Beginning @ 6:30 p.m. with a carry-in meal.  The day is August 18.  Hope to see you there.  The emphasis will be Disaster Relief.

July 2011 -

This month’s Association Worker’s Conference is at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Washburn, MO.  The Fellowship meal will begin at 6:30 p.m., Business session at 7:15 p.m. then the program will be our annual Songfest.  Members of each local church represented will be singing.

June 2011 -

The June Association Worker’s Conference will be at Carr Lane Baptist.  Beginning at 6:30 p.m. with a carry-in meal, and great fellowship.  Business session will begin at 7:15 p.m., then the program following.  Dr. Jay Scribner former President of the Missouri Baptist Convention, and former pastor of FBC Branson will be preaching from God’s Word.

March 2011 -

The annual Bible and Evangelism Conference in February was a great success with many different singing and preaching evangelists serving the Lord and the conference well.  Great preaching and singing in all services.

For March we have the Worker’s Conference coming up on the 17th at Viola Baptist and the time is 6:30 p.m. with a carry-in meal.  Bible Drill will be the program for the evening.  Business session will begin at 7:15 p.m. with the program following.

February 2011 -

For the month of February BCSBA will be having its annual Southwest Missouri Bible and Evangelism Conference.  It begins on Saturday night February 19 with the Songfest with the music/singing evangelists with a Spaghetti dinner at 5 p.m. and the singing to begin at 6 p.m.  Sunday the evangelist will minister in many of our Association’s churches with preaching and singing in the morning and evening worship services.  Monday morning there is a session of music and preaching beginning at 9:15 and lunch at noon.  Monday evening session will begin at 6:45 with music and preaching, then this continues on Tuesday morning and evening at the same times.

Hope to see you at Corinth Baptist Church between Cassville, MO and Roaring River State Park off Highway 112 on AA.

January 2011 -

The January Worker’s Conference will be at Victory Baptist on January 20.  The time will be 6:30 p.m. for the carry-in dinner.  The Business session will begin @ 7:15 p.m. with program following.

There will be a Pastor’s Lunch @ Red Top Restaurant on Wednesday January 19 @ noon.  It is pay for your own.

The annual Bible/Evangelism Conference will be February 19-22 @ Corinth Baptist.  More info later.
Barry County Southern Baptist Association -

The BCSBA is for Barry County Southern Baptist Association.  This is the Baptist Association which our Church is cooperating in missions work and giving. The Association is made up of 34 Southern Baptist churches, and one Hispanic Mission.

Located in the Southwest corner of the State of Missouri we are only one county away from the Oklahoma border to the West, and we border Arkansas to the South.  Branson, Missouri is only a short distance from the County Seat of Cassville, and to the East.

Our Director of Missions (DOM) is Bro. Randy Comer.  He has been a pastor for several years in the State of Missouri.  His wife’s name is Sheena; they have one daughter who is living in Texas, and they have one grand daughter.  Randy also serves on the Agency Recovery Committee for the Missouri Baptist Convention.

There have been mission trips to Nicaragua; Vera Cruz, Mexico;  Ogalala, Nebraska;  and Thailand, and others as well.
