THE LORD THY GOD 030713

Today’s Bible Reading –

Deuteronomy 26 – 28 and Luke 21

Selected verses…

Old Testament –

“If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD; then the LORD will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance.  Moreover He will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee.  Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.  And ye shall be left few in number, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because thou wouldest not obey the voice of the LORD thy God.”  Deuteronomy 28:58-62 (KJV)

New Testament –

“And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.  For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.  Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.’  And in the day time He was teaching in the temple; and at night He went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives.  And all the people came early in the morning to Him in the temple, for to hear Him.”  Luke 21:34-38 (KJV)
