Zechariah 1 – 2;  Revelation 12

Selected verses…

Old Testament –

“In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying, ‘The LORD hath been sore displeased with your fathers.’  Therefore say thou unto them, ‘Thus saith the LORD of hosts; ‘Turn ye unto Me,’ saith the LORD of hosts, ‘and I will turn unto you,’ saith the LORD of hosts.  ‘Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; ‘Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me,’ saith the LORD. ‘Your fathers, where are they? And the prophets, do they live for ever?  But My words and My statutes, which I commanded My servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? And they returned and said, ‘Like as the LORD of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath He dealt with us.'”  Zechariah 1:1-6 (KJV)

New Testament –

“Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! For the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.  And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.  And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.  And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.  And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.  And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.”  Revelation 12:12-17 (KJV)
