Today’s Bible Reading –
Zechariah 9 -10; Revelation 16
Old Testament –
“Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field. For the idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way as a flock, they were troubled, because there was no shepherd. Mine anger was kindled against the shepherds, and I punished the goats: for the LORD of hosts hath visited His flock the house of Judah, and hath made them as His goodly horse in the battle. Out of him came forth the corner, out of him the nail, out of him the battle bow, out of him every oppressor together.” Zechariah 10:1-4 (KJV)
New Testament –
“And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire. And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give Him glory. And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain, and blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.” Revelation 16:8-11 (KJV)
May all who come and read these posts know that we at Carr Lane Baptist Church pray you have a very Merry Christmas. We pray most of all that you know the Lamb who was born in a manger, lived a sinless life, then gave that spotless life for the sins of the world on the cruel, rugged cross. Believe Him, and receive Him as your Lord and Saviour.
