The LORD will be magnified from the border of Israel 122813

Today’s Bible Reading –

Malachi 1 – 2;  Revelation 19

Selected verses…

Old Testament –

“The burden of the word of the LORD to Israel by Malachi.  ‘I have loved you,’ saith the LORD. Yet ye say, ‘Wherein hast Thou loved us?’  ‘Was not Esau Jacob’s brother?’ saith the LORD: ‘yet I loved Jacob, and I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.’  Whereas Edom saith, ‘We are impoverished, but we will return and build the desolate places;’ thus saith the LORD of hosts, ‘They shall build, but I will throw down;’ and they shall call them, ‘The border of wickedness,’ and, ‘The people against whom the LORD hath indignation for ever.’  And your eyes shall see, and ye shall say, ‘The LORD will be magnified from the border of Israel.'”  Malachi 1:1-5 (KJV)

New Testament –

“And a voice came out of the throne, saying, ‘Praise our God, all ye His servants, and ye that fear Him, both small and great.’  And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, ‘Alleluia: for the Lord God Omnipotent reigneth. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to Him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and His wife hath made herself ready.’  And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.”  Revelation 19:5-8 (KJV)
